Wizkid’s Come Closer Certified Gold In International Market
Star boy, Wizkid has scored another big hit in the international market. His song Come Closer, on which he featured Canadian rapper, Drake is certified gold in Canada. This gold certification means that the Star Boy has sold 500,000 units of the single, Come Closer.

I Signed Davido With A Rolex Watch In 2014 – D’banj [Video]
DKM boss, D’banj is one of the industry’s highly respected artiste in Nigeria and abroad. D’banj, who recently dropped his album ‘King Don Come’ is on media tour to promote the body of work.
In an interview with Spindle Magazine, D’banj revealed he once signed DMW boss, Davido to his DKM label in the year 2014.
According to the ‘It’s Not A Lie’ cronner, Davido’s dad begged that the singer be allowed to finish his education so he can focus on his music career.
D’banj claimed he signed Davido with only a rolex watch as his signing fee.

YBNL || Mushin 2 Mohits – Which Was Your Favourite Album?
Every year, the Nigerian music industry is blessed with at least 5 to 6 albums from various genres of music. Artistes take time to record as much as 16 or more tracks on their albums just to satisfy the heavy appetite of their loyal fans.
This industry has witnessed so many albums packed with hits from the intro till the bonus tracks. Out of these many hit albums, we have selected 2 that everyone can still relate to.
YBNL was Olamide‘s sophomore. He had just left Coded Tunes and needed to sell his unique sound to a diverse audience. Fortunately for him, Samklef and Pheelz made his mission successful. The slogan ‘yahoo boy no laptop, always pinging but my money dey pile up‘ became the most used phrase on the street. The album gave us dance tunes like Street Luv, Ilefo Illuminati, Voice of the Street and of course the then addictive ‘First of All‘.
Mushin 2 Mo’hits was a story of a young black boy in search of greener pastures after leaving his hood for the music industry. It didn’t take long for Wande Coal to become our favorite (of course with the influence of Don Jazzy). The 16 track R&B/Pop album had every track giving us the wave. You Bad, Ten Ten, Taboo, Ololufe are songs we still relate to almost 9 years after album dropped.

“Coke Studio is a Fantastic Initiative” – Olamide
When certain people keep making waves back to back, we can’t help but talk about them! Recently, Nigerian rapper, Olamide, earned a new level of ‘street-cred’ with his new single, “Wo”. Afterwards, he went viral with the “WoChallenge”. Now, the Baddosneh master is set to blow minds with more awesome music as he returns to the Coke Studio Stage for its fifth season.
While commenting on his return to this year’s Coke Studio show, the YBNL boss said: “Coke Studio is a very fantastic initiative. It has given me the opportunity to find out so many things I didn’t know about Africa.” This year, he teams up with South African rapper and hip-hop artiste, AKA, as well as South African music producer, Sketchy Bongo to create afro-centric rap music that is sure to reverberate this season.
With the entire country either doing the “WoChallenge” or just singing along, it is clear that Olamide is the instant hit that keeps on giving. Are you excited about the musical hits Olamide will unleash on the Coke Studio stage as the show officially hits TV screens on Sunday, October 1st, 2017?

HENNESSY CYPHER 2017 Episode 3: Watch Holyfield, Eclipse, Vemor, Mr Makn & Blaqbonez: “Greatness Manifesting”
Things gets hotter as Frat Boyz schools us on what “a real cypher looks like”
Featuring Eclipse, Blaq Bonez, Holyfield, Vemor and Mr Makn, the VS Class Alumni vibe off each other’s energy to create an incredible mash.
With DJ Factor on the ones and twos, Vemor attacks the beat first, exuding the same confidence that earned him a spot on the Hennessy VS Class of 2014. “All these rappers think they’re schooling me//but they don’t know I’ve been skipping classes” he spits. Vemor quickly throws in a hook then rounds up with a technology-inspired pun.
Current winner of VS Class, Holyfield lives up to his reputation of lyrical prowess as he takes over the mic delivering what might be some of the session’s best punchlines “funny stories you call me ‘Holy’ but in effect//it means I’m no saint”
Blaq Bonez shortly takes over; throwing some jabs as he spits; “Ask for TBoss/I got Bobrisky without make up//ask for a rapper they gave me Efe//back to the wrap, I hustle like Efe//but I can actually rap”. Makn then dives into his own verse, bringing an aggressive delivery to the mic, reminding us of the reason he earned the bragging right of VS Class Season 2; “Class is back in session//Y’all just sit tight and watch greatness manifesting”
Finally, Eclipse adds an unexpected dose of drama to the cypher by delivering his eerie verse “I’m a problem kid//I cause trouble//that’s Lil Kesh and Sess combined//this year is real rapping//best yáll just pantomime//I took a lot of shots but I dodged ‘em all//yet, you’re welcome to the matrix”
