Ruggedman Declares War On Kemi Olunloyo, Plans To Sue For Defamation Of Character

Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman has declared war on Nigerian blogger, Kemi Olunloyo and plans to sue for defamation of character

Ruggedman has been a topic of discussion ever since he voiced his opinions on Naira Marley’s controversial statement on cybercrime.

Eyebrows were raised and all eyes were on him when Naira Marley was arrested as he was one of the few who openly criticized the singer. It is believed that he might have played a major role for the singer to be arrested.

Controversial Journalist and blogger, Kemi Olunloyo accused Ruggedman of facilitating Naira Marley’s arrest and in a recent interview with The Punch, the rapper revealed that he is planning to sue the blogger for defamation of character.

According to him, his lawyers have already contacted the blogger to “retract, cease and desist from further defamation of the character”. He stated that he would take further legal action if she refuses to cooperate.

He said “The next step has been clearly stated in my lawyers’ letter to her. They will act accordingly if she fails to stop.”

The rapper also revealed that he does not have a clue to why the Journalist has decided to taint his name in such a demeaning manner.

 “I wouldn’t know her state of mind or her motives. My interest in her not using her platform or any platform to defame my name and spread false information that could incite people into actions that threaten my peace and safety. That is against the law.”

R&B/alternative artiste, Ric Hassani recently grantedPunch’s Sunday Scoopan interview where he revealed so many things about his music, the style, his upcoming album and his encounter with different female fans while going about his craft.

The singer revealed in the interview that in his forthcoming album, he is looking to switch from doing love songs to doing music that relates with the general angle of human life as well as making plans to create a crowd that will listen to his songs rather than try to focus crowd that are already engrossed in other kinds of music.

He said; “I am going to be telling a lot of stories. My first album had a lot of love songs but soon, I will be telling general human angle stories. These days, Nigerians listen to almost every kind of music, but some people don’t want to believe that. Just make your music and find your crowd.

“But some artistes keep going after crowds that are already taken. I love making music and that is what drives me.”

Ric Hassani also revealed to Sunday Scoop there are a lot of amusing things he’s come across while doing music. He reveals he cannot count the number of times female fans have had their pants and bras removed and being throw at him.

He said; “There have been so many that I cannot say them here. Females are crazy and they are also a blessing to the world. So many times, they throw panties and brassieres to me and I’ve even lost count, especially outside Nigeria. I have also signed on boobs.”
