It’s official: Wizkid has broken another MTV EMA record.
The ‘Essence’ star won the “Best African Act” at the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA). He successfully knocked off Tems, Amaarae, Diamond Platnumz and Focalistic who were nominated under the same category.
This is Wizkid’s 7th EMAs nomination and the 3rd one he effortlessly won. Recall in 2016, Wizkid won the Best African Act and Worldwide Act awards. With this achievement, Wizkid has successfully obtained the title of the most awarded African artiste with 3 EMAs, and multiple BET and MOBOs Awards.
