‘Legbegbe’ Was My First Attempt At Making Street Music – Mr Real On ‘The Grill’

Blown music sensation, Mr Real is our guest on this video episode of The Grill.

Coming into limelight with his now continental single Legbegbe, Mr Real talks us through the process that saw him into stardom. He starts out, sharing how an unplanned circumstance birthed the earth-shaking song, Legbegbe. He also revealed that that was his first attempt at making a street-type song.

Mr Real shared bits of his time as an R&B/dance hall artiste, and what the reception was like for his other songs pre-Legbegbe. This was the reason why he never thought the Shaku Shaku vibe was going to be a viral hit but he was proven wrong. He also spoke about D’Banj; winning on the C.R.E.A.M platform and working alongside Slimcase to create the collaborative track, Issa Banger.

It was quite shocking to find out that Mr Real is actually of Igbo heritage. Obviously he had to field questions where he defended his choice of Yoruba ‘lamba’ as his style of music.

You get to find out about all these and more other exciting reveals, when you watch Mr Real’s Grill session in the video below.
