Governor Wike Showers Burna Boy With Praises, Calls Him “The Pride of Rivers State”

Following Burna Boy’s Grammy Award, The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has described the renowned African Gaint as the pride of the state.

The Governor made this known during Burna Boy’s Courtesy Visit at the Government. He said:

“There is no Rivers person that will say he or she is not happy with the kind of pride you have brought to us. I am very happy and I can tell you, whatever you think we can do to promote you, we will continue to do it. Do not relent in your musical endeavor as we will continue to give you all the necessary support required. You’ve done us proud and we owe you a duty to show you, love. Wherever you are, your people appreciate you”.

He further encouraged the singer to continue making the state proud with this music. He confessed that Rivers State was happy when he won the Grammy award for his “Twice as Tall” album.

The Rivers State Government organized a homecoming event for Burna Boy in honor of his global musical achievements.
