“I no kill person” – Obidiz Finally Responds to Mercy Chinwo’s Lawsuit

Nigerian artist, Obi Lawson better known as Obidiz, has reacted to the 2bn lawsuit filed against him by gospel artist, Mercy Chinwo.

Recall that the Gospel singer had through her lawyer demanded that Obidiz removes his song, titled ‘Mercy Chinwo’ from all music platforms.

Obidiz used the Minister’s name in his song and made some statements which she considered derogatory.

Mercy Chinwo who wasn’t pleased with this warned Obidiz that failure to take down the song and pen a public apology would attract legal action, where he would be made to pay N2 billion for damages.

In light of this, Obidiz via his Twitter account cried out while stating that he didn’t commit murder, but only sang a song. He noted that the song was about a lady he met.

He wrote:

“Na song I sing I no kill person. Mercy Chinwo for church, but in the club she’s Cardi B set’ you want to crucify me, I only Talks about a lady that I met, na she I sing about.”
