Is Olamide’s “Motigbana” The Beginning Of A New Trend?

Motigbana o, moti elevate, ori mi ko ke hibernate
Awon bad belle won to suffocate, we dey gbadun, we dey Jollificate
Ola tobi, e ma pariwo ye, owo tobi e ma pariwo ye
Motor tobi e ma pariwo ye, pariwo ye, pariwo ye
Motigbana, ye!, Motigbana o, ye!

After a rush of content earlier in the year, YBNL boss, Olamide took a brief break to work on his craft and now he is back in the music scene. This time the rapper teams up with versatile producer, Killertunes on the Afrobeat sound titled “Motigbana“.

Motigbana is Olamide’s fifth official single of year and something about it got us talking.

Here is what we think about the song.

@qwin_aisha Just so you know Motigbana is a jam. This song is awesome coupled with its electrical music video that says it all.

Killertunes did a wonderful job  producing this song. Olamide gave us a different side to his amazing talent, and he also has my heart with his lyrical rhymes. It also seems this song brings along a new trend which might take over from  shaku shaku.

I am in love with the music video visuals. I hope the song becomes the jam of the street as it is on of the favourite jam in my playlist at the moment.

@tommybravo10 Am the Man am the one they call the biggie man, shows Olamide is still on his game as he fires up and elevate on this new jam, Motigbana.

Motigbana is a great effort from Olamide as a follow up to his last hit single Kana, working with the new kid producer was a brilliant move. Motigbana sounds similar to Nowo by wizkid but different beacuse of the reggae vibes on it and this little effort is an additional spice that will give the song blow. Olamide on the other hand made some catchy words to make his fans flow along.

Dropping the visuals the same time is also an attraction for fans to pay attention and fall in love with it because the video comes with the Fela afrobeat kinda style and Olamide yet again brings out another dancing style that flows with the chorus/hook of the song which makes me to fall in love with the song in few seconds. Motigbana shows Olamide and Killertunes can also make a good combination, I can’t wait to see what these bring in the future.
