Nigerian Songs You Should Listen To This Yuletide Season, A Christmas Playlist To Enjoy The Holidays

Christmas is here again and it’s time to celebrate. We have switched up our regular weekly playlist to bring up something special to spice up your Christmas. Peep the hot stuff below:

1 T- Classic – “La Cream”

Taken off his ‘Alirat EP,” T-Classic shares his testimony with this smashing song produced by Reward Beatz. Released off his trending album “Afro Pop Volume 1,” “Okay” is a beautiful masterpiece written by Adekunle Gold himself to diss his haters. It’s calm way to telling haters to stop with the fronting and also for them to stay in their lane. After the huge success of his 2020 debut single ‘MJ‘, Bad Boy Timz releases new a afrobeat tune  “Have Fun“ where he layers affection, braggadocio, and chirpy vibes for dance hot-steppers.

4. Fireboy DML – “Friday Feeling” 

Christmas falls in a Friday so the mood is set. Relased off his “Apollo,” Fireboy’s “Friday Feeling” produced by Pheelz talks about enjoying every moment out of life. Never postpone the fun, make use of whatever life brings. You don’t need a reason to celebrate and get high on life/party, Dance, Flex and fill your soul with Joy!.

5. Teni – “Jo”

The P.Prime produced track is an Afropop record that will make you put on your dancing shoes. Get ready to shake away your problems and sorrows. This record is heavy on the Pop sound, it has a good beat and melody with catchy lyrics and easy to sing along verses.

6. Adekunle Gold – “Something Different”

So music lovers are still enjoying this Afro Pop track from Adekunle Gold. The track produced by Blaize Beats sees Adekunle woo his lover in a more gentle and sexy manner. The tune is a blend of highlife and Afropop with a dash of highlife and jazz. The beat accompanied by trumpets and Saxophones is one sound that the eastern folks can relate to and can also be enjoyed by all. Its official music video which was released recently would definitely make you want to have a listen.

7. Davido – “The Best” ft Mayorkun

A Davido and Mayorkun is not new to music lovers as their last collab together, “Betty Butter” rocked the music scene for months. This new track which is off Davido’s “A Better Time” album is a favorite from the album and fans can’t seem to get enough of their synergy. Listen and Enjoy this tune from the baddest and the Mayor of Lagos. “This bread no be agege!!” 

8. Wizkid – “Ginger” ft Burna Boy 

Released as the second track off his “Made In Lagos” album, Wizkid and Burna Boy join forces to deliver this powerful track about giving their lady the “ginger”. If you want make I ginger give me the kokoro, Ma ko je bi Jollof, Anywhere i go, je ki won mo pe mo ma gbo’mo lo, No dey do like bolo

9. Omah Lay – “Godly”

Released off his sophomore EP, “What Have We Done,” Omah Lay is back with another banger as he reverences God and this is arguably the best track from this EP. He gives thanks to God for protecting him throughout his journey and aiding in fulfilling his dreams amidst all the drama and chaos of his new fame and lifestyle. This is one track you wouldn’t want to skip on this playlist.

10. Rexxie x Mohbad – “KPK”

“KPK” which stands for “Ko Por Ke” and means It is Plenty or Who Says It’s not Plenty is an addictive street hop/pop record produced by hit maker, Rexxie. “Talo so pe ko por ke, Opp – O por pa, Opg – O por gan, Awon omo ajinomoto, aji gba wire, Awon omo mi Choko-choko’….”

11. Bella Shmurda – “Cash App”

Bella fine boi’s “Cash App” produced by Dopesticks talks about cashing out, by all means, hustling every day without relenting to enjoy the good life. The singer joins forces with Zanku master and the king of backups/ad-libs/music Lamba – Zlatan and Lincoln for the release of this buzzing track. The new record is a follow-up to his recent release ‘Dangbana Orisa’ which is still basking, entering, and climbing top music charts and digital playlists.

12. Zlatan – “Lagos Anthem”

Produced by P.Prime, “Lagos Anthem” by Zlatan is a feel-good track with good beats and catchy lyrics. This one is for the Big Ballers of Lagos who turn up every night, spend lots of cash and yet complain that there is no money in Lagos. “Every Night Bentley, Every Night Rolls Royce, Lo na tollgate won fe lo jaiye. Padi mi gbe Aston martin, Emi gbe Bugatti, La le Friday, Won fe lo?Jaiye. Them dey talk say money no dey Lagos.”

13. Olamide – “Infinity” ft Omah Lay

“Infinity” is the third track on Olamide ‘s ‘Carpe Diem’ Album featuring Omah Lay produced by P.Prime. The record is a mid-tempo jam that captions Sex (loving making). 15. Tekno – “Enjoy”

Tekno Miles is back with another party banger and this time, he urges everyone to enjoy themselves no matter what. The track is off his forthcoming debut album “Old Romance.” Listen & Enjoy!

16. Tems – “Damages”

Nigerian vocal powerhouse and fast-rising Alte/RnB singer, Tems came through with her second single for 2020 titled “Damages” which was produced by Spaxx. This buzzing track is a freedom song for young vibrant ladies who fall in love easily. It’s for girls who got played by the boy they loved during their teenage life, The baby girls that gave out their all and heart to the wrong guy. Temsbaby who is also a victim of young love says she is done with the damages love has cost her. This jam is the first single off her debut EP “For Broken Ears”.

17. Timaya – “Gra Gra”

To prepare his fans for his forthcoming album “Gratitude,” Timaya released the second single off the body of work titled “Gra Gra.” On this new record, he talks about him been humble, not pompous having achieved a whole lot in life. He sings about how he worked hard to get to where he is now and the continuous dedication he puts into work to maintain the wealthy status. This track is a motivational song, Papichulo shares you need to work and strive hard if you want to enjoy the good things of life.

18. Patoranking – “Abule”

To prepare fans for his third studio album “THREE,” Patoranking released “Abule” which documents his experiences and stories in the hood. The award-winning afro-dancehall artiste’s track is a simple celebration of his neighborhood in, Ebute Metta, Lagos, The Niger Delta, and of hood worldwide.

Premiered via Beats 1 Radio with Ebro, the track’s top-notch production and catchy hook make it easy for summer listening and partying. The dancehall-inspired track also comes with an Afrobeats vibe, which has become the singer’s signature sound.

19. Olamide – “Eru”

Taking a break off the music scene after the release of the album “999,” YBNL Boss, Olamide returned with an impressive tune titled “Eru“. This tune is an Afro-Rap-Pop record with quality production from P.Prime. Baddo Sneh came through to prove he still has the bangers in him as this song will make you Manya, lose some control.

20. Zinoleesky – “Mapariwo”

Shhh, Mapariwo (Don’t Shout)! Just when we thought we couldn’t handle the still buzzing “Caro” which features his label boss, Naira Marley, Zinoleesky came through with another banger. The Marlian Music multitalented singer and songwriter teamed up with producer, Trips to tell the tale of an affair that is meant to be made secret. This track is still doing numbers and is one of the top hits in the country at the moment. We’re sure everyone can relate to this story.

21. DJ Tunez- “Pami” ft Wizkid, Adekunle Gold, Omah Lay

Wizkid, Adekunle Gold, and Omah Lay need to be protected at all costs because they could be arrested for murdering this song. This was the collaboration we never knew we needed because its a huge hit. The track produced by Blaise Beatz is a perfect blend of Afrobeat and the raving Bop sound.

Bad Influence” crooner Omah Lay starts the record with his cool hypnotizing vibe as Wizzy baby took over to show he is still the Daddy Yo that makes ladies Manya. AG Baby on his own part brought the Chemistry between him and Blaise Beatz on his hit song ‘Something Different’ (which we all loved) into play to spice up the new record and turn it into a Bop jam. 22. Tiwa Savage – “Koroba”

With ‘In My Maserati’ still basking and tearing up speakers/parties, Olakira teamed up with Davido for a Maserati Remix to burst speakers the more and hit us harder!!!. 27. Mohbad – “Ponmo Sweet” ft. Naira Marley x Lil Kesh

Mohbad teamed up with Naira Marley and Lil Kesh to record another back to back hit release with this brand new street banger. On the new Rexxie produced song that would make you lose your home training on the dance floor, Mohbad, Naira Marley and Lil Kesh talks about the ladies Punana, how they use various sweeteners and the trending Kayamata to spice up the private place.
