[Playlist] Hot Afro-Amapiano Songs To Enjoy The Festive!

Amapiano seems to be the real deal in the music industry and as of 2020, it is getting more mainstream in and out of Africa. The sound which originated from South Africa is a unique hybrid of deep house, jazz, and lounge music characterized by airy pads, synths, and wide basslines.

The word “Amapiano” translated to English is “pianos.” It merges an isiZulu plural article (ama) with an English noun (piano). Artistes are getting creative with this sound as there are hundreds of amapiano songs released on a daily basis but some of them stood out.

Jobe London, Mphow69, and Kamo Manje’s timing of introducing new elements to the composition is nearly flawless, holding the groove until the last possible moment before a number of breaks.

Prince Kaybee – Gugulethu ft. Indlovukazi, Supta, Afro Brothers

An Amapiano playlist without this track “Gugulethu” is total incomplete. This a cool vibe with catchy lyrics for chills.

Falz – “Squander” ft Niniola

This a banging Afro-Amapiano record produced by Yung Willis performed by Falz The Bad Guy and Nigeria’s Queen of Afro-house. Produced by South African producer Shuffle Muzik whose under Open-Mic Productions home to buzzing SA singer/producer Master KG, the track “Look Like Me” is pure Amapiano vibes. Enjoy!

L.A.X – “Go Low”

L.A.X dished out a dance track for the celebration season which will make y’all Go Low (Dance). The Clemzy produced tune is perfect blend of Afrobeat and the widely loved, raving Amapiano sound. This track would find its way to your playlist, stay on repeat, turn your favourite, burst your speakers and surely make you lose control on the dance floor.

Dremo – “E Be Things” ft Mayorkun

DMW rapper, Dremo teamed up with label mate, Mayorkun to deliver this party jam titled “E Be Tins“. This track is a dance track produced by Fresh VDM, a heavy amapiano record with a blend of the Afrobeat sound.

Q- Dot – “Magbe” ft Patoranking

Magbe” is a track off “Alagbe” The Album by Qdot, On this banging dance street hop record, he joined forces with Patoranking Nigerian King of Afro-Dancehall. Masterkaft – “Hallelu” ft Bella Smurda & Zlatan

Multiple Award Winning Producer, Masterkraft recruited Bella Shmurda and Zlatan to deliver this addictive record. The record is an Afropop-Amapiano tune that sees Bella’s celestial voice and Zlatan’s hot bars with ad-libs get one highly spiritual.

Masterkraft – “Equipment” ft Flavour

Equipment‘ is a bopping tune and with Flavour on it, this jam would turn your favorite and make its way to your playlist especially the Easterners. The record is a blend of Afrobeat, the Pop sound, and also ever catchy South African Amapiano Sound that would get you shaking consciously or unconsciously…

Davido – “Heaven”

Heaven is another banging tune released off Davido’s “A Better Time” album.

Released off his “A Better Time” album, “I Got A Friend” which features Sho Madjozi & Mayorkun, Davido introduces his audience to his support system most of whom belong to the famed 30 Billion Gang. This track mentions a few associates like ace manager Asa Asika, Special, Aloma DMW, the late DJ Olu, and several more. It even posthumously honors Pop Smoke as the track winds down.

Kabza De Small – “Sponono” ft. Wizkid, Burna Boy, Cassper Nyovest, Madumane
