It’s another bumper week for Naija songs to Enjoy this March and we have compiled all of your favorite jams to keep you excited throughout the week.

Naija Songs For Week 3 of March… We dug up old hit songs that surprisingly found their way back to the music charts due to their buzz on social media or massive recognition, like the Grammys and Movie premiere. Below, dive into the songs you should be listening to this week:

Burna Boy – “Level Up”

Burna Boy has leveled up, he is officially a Grammy Award Winner. He cemented his top position in Nigeria and global music when he won the Best Global Album category at the 63rd Grammys Award. This African giant also wowed the virtual audience with his outstanding performance of ‘Level Up’ Off his award-winning album of 2020, Twice as Tall.

Level Up is a moody track that talks about Burna’s aspirations and dreams. The song exposed the Vulnerable side of Burna Boy, even how he felt after losing the first Grammy award recognition to Angelique Kidjo in 2020. “I remember when I couldn’t level up…….’Cause the Grammys had me feeling sick as fuck….Throwing up and shit …Asking questions like, “Why it wasn’t us? …….Almost had a nigga feeling envious”.

Davido – “Assurance” 

It’s not every day you hear a Naija hit song in a Hollywood movie, not really. After Davido’s performance in the sequel of Coming To America, Assurance made a huge comeback and is still waxing strong. Assurance is a love song where Davido confesses his warm love to his lover (Chioma my lover), promising never to leave her. However, when the cheating scandal broke out, the 2019 hit song started trending again. If you really want to know the hype about this mid-tempo jam, listen to it this week and find out.

Rema – “Bounce”

Mavin Star boy, Rema just released another Banger to kick start the year, 2021. The Afrobeat king has created a big buzz on the internet with this single ” Bounce” and also snippets of the sizzling Bounce video. With its catchy beats and lyrics, Bounce has received millions of streams earning it the No 1 spot on all music charts. The record is an uptempo jam where Rema passionately sang about the luscious and magnificent body of an African woman. Johnny Drille – “Bad Dancer”

Romantics, get in here. This is for you!

Released off his forthcoming album, Johnny thrilled fans with another alluring love song, Bad dancer.  Johnny is Mavin’s soul singer,  from Count on you to Mystery girl, Johnny has captured the hearts of millions with his beautiful songs. Bad dancer is a simple, slow-tempo love song where Johnny sings to his lady who he promises to do anything to keep her happy. Bad Dancer might not have received the recognition it deserves, but the relaxing tune and fascinating lyrics made it impossible not to be included on our list.

Ric Hassani – “Thunder Fire You”

Well, it appears Ric Hassani is no longer a man of love, and his latest single “Thunder fire you” is a reflection of this reality.  Released off his “The Prince I became” album, Thunder fire you is a controversial breakup song. In the track, he berates his ex-lover for leaving him despite all his sacrifices for their love.  He painfully dragged her and her friends which happens to be everyone’s favorite line off the track “E no go better for you…… So thunder fire you And your friends”.  This song has received massive recognition on social media especially after it was banned by National Broadcasting Commission.  If you haven’t listened to Thunder fire you, we recommend you do so and start catching cruise with your exes (lol).

Focalistic ft. Davido & Virgo Deep – “Ke Star Remix”

South African rapper, Focalistic teamed up with Davido for the remix of this banging Amapiano tune. Although Davido claims to be a certified cruise master in the song, he didn’t just use this popping track to catch cruise, he practically owned the song. Ke Star has been rocking the music scene since 2020 and even bagged Focalistic a Platinum award. This addictive tune is groovy and it’s practically impossible for you not to move your body while listening to it. Enjoy!

Zinoleesky ft Mayorkun, Busiswa – Kilofeshe Remix

Marlian Solider, Zinoleesky recently released the remix of his infectious street tune, Kilofeshe featuring The Mayor of Lagos, Mayorkun, and South African Rapper, Busiswa. Zinoleesky really did extraordinary things with the remix of the song. Personally, the remix is a powerhouse of vibes. With its smashing beats, Mayorkun didn’t disappoint with fire verses and Busiswa finished the song with her smooth rap lines.

Kilofeshe’s single really banged in 2020 and the remix happens to be better and hotter. Do check it out.

Wizkid ft Tems – “Essence”

Starboy Wizkid connects with fast Rising Alte-artiste, Tems for the alluring track, Essence. Released off his Made in Lagos Album, Essence is a captivating blend of Afropop and R&b. The song expresses a mature longing between two people who have fallen out of love after a long relationship. With Tems’ Powerful vocals and Wizkid’s sultry voice, they literally made magic. Before the video of Essence drop, endeavor to listen to Essence this week.

Dice Ailes – “Money Dance”

Fast-rising singer, Dice Ailes comes through with the visuals of his impressive single, Money Dance.  The song is vibe filled mid-tempo track which was released earlier this year.  Money Dance is also a self-motivating track encouraging individuals to make “the dough” as it apparently stops nonsense. With its bopping beats and fire lyrics, Dice has effortlessly hooked fans to this addictive tune.

Fireboy DML – “Champion”

It would be a surprise if Fireboy’s ‘Champion’ didn’t make this list. Headies biggest winner has returned with the visuals of one of his hottest numbers, Champion. Taken off his Apollo Album, this emotional song talks about Fireboy’s struggles and life experiences. With D smoke smooth rap lines and the choir Harmonious chorus, this track will have you hitting the repeat button over and over again.

Joeboy – “Focus”

Joeboy is back with another love song. Released off his debut album, “Somewhere Between Beauty and Magic“, Focus is a mid-tempo, Afropop R&B.  In focus, Joeboy tells a story about recovering from unrequited love and how his lover wasn’t being straightforward about her intentions. This loverboy used his soothing vocals to pass this heartfelt message and we couldn’t help but feel his pain.

Jamopyper – “Better Better”

Jamopyper is definitely ready to do Better Better this 2021. You know how you vibed and loved his hit Song “If No Be You” featuring Mayorkun, well he is back with another sweet tune. Better Better is a dance track with an amazing combination of Afropop, rap, and of course, Jamopyper’s swag. Jamopyper recently shared the visual of this hit song and in the video we see Jamo giving us mad dance moves (Watch Here). Asake ft Zlatan & Peruzzi – “Mr. Money Remix”

Asake wasn’t kidding when he said his energy was high. This Afrobeat singer joined forces with The Zanku Master, Zlatan, and Peruzzi to drop a hot remix for his 2020 hit single, Mr Money.  These featured artists proved that two or three heads are indeed better than one. They all delivered fire verses on this catchy song. Mr Money is an addictive tune, its banging beats will definitely make you move your body and also sing along.  We recommend this track to many who are ready to vibe to good music this week.

Teni ft. Davido – “For You”

Teni Makanaki has never failed to deliver amazing and addictive songs. This time, Teni teamed up with Davido to drop this dope tune, For You. For You is a song that tells the sad, yet comical love story of a couple.
