Afro-pop star Mayorkun is making global strides with his debut album “The Mayor of Lagos”. The critically acclaimed set who is undoubtedly a commercial success as it made an impressive debut on the Billboard World Album Charts.

Just few hours after its release, Kizz Daniel’s “NBS” album has started getting positive reviews as a result of the mastery he created in the project.

In as much as we are enjoying the album too, but one thing has struck our minds, and that is the fact that Kizz Daniel decided to exterminate Simi from the album.

Simi who was featured by Kizz Daniel on track 18 of the album which was titled “BLYW” was eventually pushed off the album on its eventual release.

The reason for it though is yet unknown, but reports suggest it could be as a result of the addition of Davido (who was originally not on the album when the track list was first released) to the album.

We sincerely hope this won’t spark up a beef.

New Tape Reveals 6ix9ine Was Almost Getting Killed By Gang Members Before Getting Arrested

It could be a blessing in disguise that Tekashi was arrested when he was because it turns out his gang members were conspiring to “violate” him.

6ix9ine is currently in prison as he awaits trial for his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods and their racketeering case. The rapper has been all over the news as he officially dropped his album yesterday.

His legal team has been trying to build a case that clears Tekashi being a major part of the gang, he was simply depicting the role of a gangster in his music career. He will face a possible life in prison sentence but if he ever gets out, he’ll need to be guarded at all times. Especially considering the severity of the threats made in the newly-surfaced wiretap transcripts.

TMZ reported that conversations between Tekashi’s former manager Shotti and Mel Murda were brought forward as part of the case, revealing that the rapper’s life was seriously in danger after firing his team.

The phone conversation is quite mean, revealing talks of “feeding” the rapper, which prosecutors perceive to be spraying bullets. Mel Murda spoke on the phone with Shotti, telling him, “[Tekashi] is trying to dry snitch at the same time, hommie. But he keep saying, f*** Treyway, f*** that n****, Treyway. Ain’t no n****, Treyway. F*** Treyway.”

Shotti gave a response, sending a threat: “Imma feed him though.”

The conversation also included talk of Tekashi getting “violated” after trying to separate himself from the gang.

An anonymous associate said, “That’s cool. Now he gotta get violated.” Mel Murda responded, “Yeah, super violated. Super duper. Ain’t no much he could really do unless he run around with 100 armed securities all day.”

Montana is of the opinion that those that are parading themselves as “King of NY” seem to be forgetting that Jay-Z is still alive. He says noone can claim the tag as far as Jay-Z is not dead.

French Montana recently sat for an interview to push aside the conversation about some people giving the title of “King of NY” to Tekashi 6ix9ine.

The 4-track EP will be released on the Friday, 30th November, 2018 ahead of the Global Citizen Festival that will be holding on the 2nd of December, 2018 in South Africa.

Global Citizen Movement have always been a major aid to music and advocacy and this year they have decided to put together an official sound track that will serve as an escort to the advancement in the battle to completely put an end to extreme poverty by 2030.

Victims’ Family Demand 6 Million Dollars From Meek Mill For Shooting Incident

After being free for months from legal issues, Meek Mill seems to be getting dragged to another court case. Meek Mill who had a shooting incident occur at his 2016 meek concert in Connecticut is now being seriously bothered by the families of the two victims of the unfortunate incident.

The families are demanding 3 million dollars each in compensation for the lost lives of their loved ones as a result of the shooting.

Although the families have filed a lawsuit against Meek Mill in the past, but they are willing to drop the case if only Meek can give them a compensation of 6 million dollars.

The families based the reasons for indulging in a legal battle with the rapper on the fact that his song lyrics incite violence and there have been violent occurrences in his past shows.

Meek Mill has however denied all allegations about his involvement in the incident.

Burna Boy Says ‘Afro-Beat Is Dead,’ Reveals What Wizkid, Davido & Others Do || Watch

Burna Boy prior to his last UK show, did an interview with BeatFM, London where he talked about his music, previous shows and how music should be considered successful.

The “Ye” crooner says in the interview that he is shocked as to why people judge the success of music on the number of streams it amasses rather than the impact the song makes on the lives of people. After the interviewer talked about music being judged by numbers, Burna boy disagreed and asked why it should be so. In his words, he says ” why don’t you care about music, why do you care about numbers, do you listen to numbers, do you get feelings from numbers, when you look at numbers what feelings do you get?”

He further went on to say “Why do you have to measure with numbers? You should measure with like, how many lives I’ve touched or like how many songs i have inspired…”

Burna also revealed that there is no artiste anywhere that does Afro-Beat, he said Afro-Beat should only be attributed to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and noone else. He further said that what other artistes do is afro-fusion, afro-swing etc. In his words he says “Afro-Beat is not what you are hearing today, that’s not Afro-Beat. Afro-Beat is one person and one person only and that’s Fela Anikulapo-Kuti…”

Burna boy did not only stop there, he also talks about why it is important for an artiste to go back to his root (home country) in order to be accepted outside of it. He says ” You have to go and see, and know and understand and become…”

Rudeboy of the defunct music group; P’square, recently released a song, titled “Chizoba” which has attracted loads of attention from music lovers across the industry.

The song which is very emotional and contains strong lyrical content got a lot of people do their reviews of the song on social media. While some people believe it’s a song that is directed to his brother, others believe it is just banter.

Here is our own review of the song “Chizoba” by Rudeboy:

@qwin_aisha This song shows that Paul aka Rudeboy is a great song writer. He has been able to put his emotions into words and share it to the world as a song.

This  song shows how immense and deep brotherly love is. Many are aware of the current situation of the P square brothers, so this song makes me feel as if he is trying to reach out to his brother, guess he finally realizes they are better together than being apart.

All in all, this is the best song I’ve heard in a while, not all artistes can put out their emotions in a song in a way that we would feel it.

@neefe_nawti This is an exceptionally beautiful song that preaches peace and a divine call for victory over the intrusion of brotherhood. This is a rendition that naturally should soften the hearts of even the most gruesome and vindictive personalities as a result of its strong lyrics which touches reality in totality.

I just feel the instrumentation of the song cannot be any better to aid its intentions.

Although, If Paul truly is an advocate of what he writes in this song might be a topic for another day. I just hope Peter listens to this song, not only him but everyone that makes up the Okoye family so they can all have a change of hearts, and I hope again that divinity feels compelled enough to calm the storm that is currently on-going in their family.

This song must make a difference o. Too sweet and spiritual abeg!

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s woes seem to be deepening at the moment. There were reports all over the media yesterday that the “Gummo” rapper pleaded not guilty to the charges (Racketeering and firearms charges) against him in court. The judge then set a case for 4th of September, 2019 which means 6ix9ine might be in jail for the rest of the year.

Vulture reported that according to assistant U.S attorney Michael Longyear, a confidential informant recorded interactions that will be used against 6ix9ine in court.  The attorney also revealed that Tekashi’s social media accounts were put under a microscope (probably throughout the entire year), and that the content they plan to use against the heavily ladened tattoo rapper is “quite voluminous.”

The incident that happened at Barclays as well as the security drama that led to shootings are being included in the RICO charge too.

The Feds have been using surveillance of Tekashi’s social media, the C.I.. and his history of public beefs to ultimately make a serious case against him.

These are definitely turbulent times for the “stoopid” rapper.

Olamide Undermines The Effect Of Wizkid’s Concert, Says He Will Still Sell Out OLIC

Olamide in an interview with Punch Newspaper made some clarifications regarding the clash of dates of his show and Wizkid’s.

It is no news that both Wizkid and Olamide’s show that have been set for Sunday, 23^rd of December 2018 will be clashing as it will be happening the same time.

Lots of people have been talking about the clash of dates, saying one show will definitely affect the other and as a result, the two artistes shouldn’t have settled for the same dates.

Olamide has however shed light on the issue. He told The punch that the show won’t affect each other as there are millions of people in Nigeria and that they will only have to choose which to attend. In his words Baddo said “It is true that the two shows will happen on the same day. The population of Nigeria is huge and everyone cannot fill up one event centre.”

“I believe the sky is big enough for all birds to fly without touching each other. I honestly don’t feel there will be any negative effect. If you switch on your television set, I am sure you have many options; so, it is left for you to decide which station you stay tuned to. That is how I see things,” he said.

Olamide further said he was not aware Wizkid was going to pick the date he picked for his show and that he is sure they will both make money from the shows, he said the decision is purely, in his words he said ““I am not living in his (Wizkid) mind, but I don’t think anyone has an issue with it and I am sure we will both make good money from the shows.”
