Wizkid’s “Essence” Becomes The Most Shazamed Song In the US

Wizkid’s summer song “Essence” which features Tems, has become the “most Shazamed” song in the United States.

“Essence” which was released off Wizkid’s fourth studio album, “Made in Lagos album”, has since become a hit after it appeared on global music charts across the globe. The song also gained international recognition across the globe shortly after  Justin Bieber featured on the remix of the track which appears in the deluxe edition of the MIL album.

Wizkid’s jam broke another record by becoming the first African most shazamed song on US Shazam. Shazam gave the announcement via their social media page while sharing the Top 200 Most Shazamed songs in the US. They wrote:

“Big congrats to @wizkidayo!! #Essence is now the most Shazamed song in the United States”

Nigerian musician, Slimcase is on a mission to get rappers back on the map.

The 39-year-old made the resolution after witnessing the decline in the number of rappers. You might recall coming across his rap show ‘The Slimcase show” on Instagram where he brings in young, talented rappers across the country to drop sizzling bars.

Taking to his Instagram today, he revealed that his vision is to get rappers back on the map. According to him, singers and afrobeats artistes are often celebrated, but no accolades to the kings and queens of hip hop. He noted that the lack of support and encouragement made many rappers abandon their genre of music to join the blues singers.

Speaking on his vision, Slimcase admitted that the load is obviously too much for him to carry, but he believes God will give him the strength to bring back rap.

On Sunday, Teni posted a full shot of herself sitting on a toilet.  The Billionaire crooner rocked a black bucket hat, a black shirt, and white sneakers. Her right hand was on her cheek as she sat on the toilet seat- may be taking a dump. Her thighs were bare and her pants down to her ankles as she posed for the camera.

Teni captioned the photo: “Thinking about my show. Let’s fcuk shit up tonight Abuja”

Soon after the photo was posted, the singer was slammed by netizens who accused her of seeking attention with her inappropriate photos.
