Jay Z Stole The Concept Of My Song Without Credit – Modenine

Controversy has trailed the much anticipated release of Jay Z‘s 4:44 album. The cherry on this icing became the moment when Nigerian rapper, Modenine decided to accuse the international business mogul of music property jacking.

Apparently Modenine, in an Instagram video post, has made alleges of song theft on Jay Z’s album for the song The Story of O.J., laying claims to the fact that it was sampled off his own material My Skin Is Black from his ‘Paradigm Shift’ album released back in 2008.

However fans disagree with Modo’s alleges, adjudicating the fact that both songs were actually a sample off of Nina Simone’s 1966 classic titled Four Women, from her album ‘Wild Is The Wind’.

Still, Blackface and Terry Tha Rapman are of the opinion that Jay Z should have followed due process and given honour to whom it deserved considering Modenine had his (sample) out first.

The dilemma now is, who is right… and who is wrong?
