UPP Speaks In Support Of Buhari As Presidential Candidate

The United Progressive Party (UPP) informed that after evaluation of all available options it made a decision to take a stand in favor of President Muhammadu Buhari as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019 election.

According to This Day, on Tuesday, the 20 th of November, The United Progressive Party stated that its national working committee made a decision to speak in support of Muhammadu Buhari as a presidential candidate in 2019 election. The national chairman of the party, Chekwas Okorie, stated that the credibility, sincerity, and uprightness of the current president for the past three and half years of his administration were among the indicators considered before the party spoke in support of Buhari as a presidential candidate of APC. Chekwas Okorie also said that the evaluation of all the options was painstaking.

The counterpart to the All Progressives Congress, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was not silent and has stated that the policy document of PDP’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar manifests the collective aspirations, mindset, and expectations of the citizens of Nigeria who are seeking for more productive leadership and bright future of Nigeria. It is evident that every bird likes its own nest.

According to Legit.ng, Kola Ologbodiyan, the national publicity secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, stated that the policy document written by Atiku Abubakar proposes practical direction and solutions of the issues in all sectors of national life in Nigeria. It was not a big surprise that he also commented the opponent, Mr. Ologbodiyan accused President Muhammadu Buhari of failing to offer any practical solutions or policy direction in his “Next
Level” document.” Only the lazy didn’t criticize the document written by the current president of Nigeria.
