21 Savage has been released from custody of the ICE in the US after he was arrested for violating US immigration rules. The singer was released on bond after spending a week in custody.
Since the rapper’s release, a lot of people have been buzzing to have a platform to ask the rapper what his ordeal was like in the hands of the immigration officers. He was able to be sat down eventually, and he revealed the officers targeted him.
21 Savage will be doing his first post-release interview with Good Morning America this morning. The rapper will be discussing his arrest, the detainment center he was at as well as a 77-year-old man he met inside of the detention center who he said he wants to help get into a retirement home, according to Complex.
“I don’t even know,” Savage said in response to what happened when he was arrested. “I was just driving and I just seen guns and blue lights. And then I was in the back of a car and I was gone,” he recalled. “They didn’t say nothing. [They] said, ‘We got Savage.'”
Adding, “I was definitely targeted.”
