Wizkid has reached out to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to take swift action over the recent killing of Nigerian youths by SARS.
The Governor had taken to his Instagram page to reveal that he is aware of the recent happenings in the state and that proper actions would be taken speedily. “The safety of our residents is my number one duty as the CSO of Lagos. So, reading reports of seemingly unlawful exploitation by the people charged to protect is very worrying & needs to be addressed immediately. Be assured that appropriate actions will be taken, & speedily too.”
Wizkid in response reminded him of their meeting in December 2019 where he spoke about how proud he is of the entertainment industry. Wizkid urged him to do something about the current situation so citizens can also be proud of him. He wrote: “Mr Governor! I met with you in December 2019! This is coming after Wizkid slammed Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari for reaching out to Donald Trump after he tested positive for the coronavirus while SARS are killing youths on innocent youths on a daily basis. According to him, the welfare of the US president is none of his business as the police and Sarz have continued to kill youths like chickens.
He advised him to face his country and do something about the killings. He wrote: “Donald Trump is not your business! ,Old man! Police/Sarz still killing, Nigerian youth on a daily! Do something!, Nothing concern u for America! , Face your country !!”
