Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has come under fire for collecting #5 Million Naira to perform and endorse Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
Twitter users are dragging him heavily after a video of him singing happily at the event hosted for Atiku in regards to his Presidential declaration for 2023 hit the internet. According to many Nigerians, Timi Dakolo is a big hypocrite for going back on his word to support Atiku after singing about equality and a need for a change of Government.
The Dragging became too Hot for Timi, that he was forced to reply some. He boldly tweeted that “I will sing and collect my Bread” And if anyone is angry, the person should go and sing his own. Some of Timi’s fans supported him that he got to make a living irrespective of who he is singing for.
Another user “Everest’ Slammed them and Timi collectively. He informed that a singer who collect #5 million to sing for a corrupt leader is no different that a woman who #5 to vote for the same corrupt leader. Everest called out Timi to stand Upright and for his fans to stop following him blindly.
In western countries, celebrities forfeit a lot to stand with the people. They know how important it is for their career and growth.
2023, people will sell themselves then come 2024 to cry.
