Why Nigerian Hip-Hop May Never Be As Big As Davido & Wizkid – BlaqBonez On ‘The Grill’

Fresh off his latest music release, ‘Bad Boy’ BlaqBonez is unarguably the Y! generation leader of Nigerian hip-hop, and his Grill session covers topics relating to the dying culture of core hip-hop and rap music in Nigerian shores.

Speaking on reasons why the culture experiences a defect in progressive thrive, BlaqBonez ropes in pop music superstars, Davido and Wizkid. Although not to insinuate that they are the reason why, he is otherwise pointing out the ways they have grown their individual crafts to supercede the recognition that the hip-hop music genre deserves and should command (but doesn’t).

Blaq commented on the association he now enjoys with industry royal, M.I Abaga; the role he played on the Rendezvous playlist and how M.I would be executive producing his next compilation project. He went further to make a shocking declaration statement on how he’ll fight anybody that draws up a list of top rappers in the country and doesn’t include his name in it.

Interesting! Watch video below.
