Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ Becomes First African Album To Be Nominated For ‘Album Of The Year’ At Soul Train Awards

Wizkid has bagged five nominations at the 2021 Soul Train Awards. This earns him the title of the third most nominated artiste after American artists, H.E.R with 8 nominations and Chris Brown with 6.

He received nominations for “Song of the Year”, “Album of the year”, “Video of the Year”, “Best Collaboration”, & “The Ashford & Simpson’s Songwriter’s Award”

Wizkid’s fourth studio album ‘Made In Lagos’, is the first African album in history to receive an “Album of the Year” nomination at the Soul Train Awards.

The Soul Train Music Awards is an annual music awards show which previously aired in national broadcast syndication and honors the best in African-American culture music and entertainment.

This year’s award will hold on November 28th, 2021, at the Apollo Theatre, and it will be hosted by Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell.
