It’s always a welcome development to see artistes push themselves to the limit when it comes to creativity. Mavin Records superstar singer and front lead, Reekado Banks has just released a short film for his latest single “Blessings On Me”.
The cinematic visuals tells the story of a deadbeat dad who could not provide for his family and he eventually left them to suffer but the mother remained strong and did everything possible for her son to survival and become successful. Reekado Banks definitely outdid himself on this one.

Kanye West Betrays Trump, Says He Is Done With Politics || See Fans Reactions
Kanye West factioned his fan base earlier this year when he opened up about his support for Donald Trump and became friends with ring-wing pundit Candace Owens. Many of his fans were ready to leave the Kanye lover’s camp, especially after the release of ”Ye” which is undeniably the worst album he’s released in his career. While it’s unsure if there’s a direct connection between his political stance and his music, it sure came across in that regard. However, the rapper finally came to his senses earlier today when he announced that he realized he was becoming a political pawn. He told TMZ that he was speaking on Candace Owens’ “Blexit” campaign and didn’t mention any thing about Donald Trump, but he did say that he’ll be distancing himself from politics altogether.
The rapper tweeted : “My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!”

50 Cent Gets Involved In Nicki And Cardi’s Beef
50 Cent has involved himself in the feud between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B that emerged over the weekend. The rapper has aired his own opinion on the feud after rapper Tekashi 6xnine and DJ Spinking took sides on the issue.
A footage came up online where DJ Spinking is seen playing Nicki Minaj’s music in a club while Tekashi was seen dancing to it.But despite releasing a song titled; “Fefe” with Nicki Minaj, things all of a sudden just turned weird. At some point in the club, the DJ suddenly stopped Nicki’s music and switched to Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” before saying “Sorry Nicki, I’m team Cardi B on this side.”
In the video, Tekashi was then seen dancing to “Bodak Yellow”. This was what caught 50 Cent’s attention as he feels this could create bad blood between Nicki and Tekashi. 50 feels Tekashi should completely stay out of it as it is an issue for the girls.
50 Cent in an Instagram post that has though been deleted said “No @djspinking that’s female shit stay out of that, now Nicki gonna get mad at 69 for turning up, trust me.”
“She on her South Side shit.”
However, it seems Tekashi’s actions were just seem to be normal as it hasn’t created any sort of rift between himself and Nicki after they were seen partying together moments after the event at the club.

Well as we all know Burna Boy has had the great year so far, first with the release of his “Outside” Album which turned into a great deal for him both home and outside the shores of Nigeria. Wizkid’s “Fever” Coming Back To Life; The Tiwa Savage Effect
The Nigerian entertainment industry is blessed with an amazingly stunning largesse of followership within the country and outside of it. The belief and opinions of the people that are contained in this followership, coupled with the events that comes into play in the entertainment industry is what has shaped it to be what it has become today, most especially the music industry.
The most common and popular opinion which an enormous number of people tend to agree with is that, the Nigerian music industry is an industry of men. I.e. it is an industry that is dominated by men, an industry that without the men’s influence in the craft of the women; the women’s efforts never get to be productive. And I totally agree with these opinions. For instance, every song that was done by a female musician which turned out to be hits, have certainly the touch of one or two of the guys in the industry. Talking about sound productions, collaborations, visuals direction and even to getting record label deals in order to make their efforts and works further recognized.
Tiwa Savage has a lot of the guys to thank for her continuing success within the industry, the likes of her ex-husband; Teebillz, her label boss; Don Jazzy and also rave of the moment, Wizkid and a host of others. Selebobo played a major role in the rise of Yemi Alade and MI did in the emergence of Waje, these events have further buttressed the stance that it is truly an industry of the men. However, a certain turn of events has actually made me feel, this opinion of mine and many others could be to some extent inaccurate. What could that new situation be that is probably having me to think otherwise of what originally my opinion is? It’s the freshly released Wizkid’s “Fever Video”, I know you are wondering what connection that has got to do with what I have written so far, but relax, I’d explain.
Wizkid released his now buzzing new single; “Fever” in the beginning of October which had mixed reactions and struggled to live up to the standard his previous records had done. “Fever” was criticized by a large number of the music industry except certainly, his fans. But fast forward to the 24th , October; Wizkid released the visuals to his disappointing record, “Fever” and the whole industry was stunned by the actions and as well as the vixen in the Video. Who is the vixen? It is Tiwa Savage, the songstress that has been rumoured to be having a sexual relationship with the Starboy.
On seeing Tiwa and the steamy roles she played with Wizkid in the video, “Fever” immediately became a ‘hit’; it trended on twitter and got everyone talking about it all over social media and outside the media. The video hit one million views in 20 hours on YouTube, setting a record as the first Nigerian music video to achieve such feat. “The Tiwa effect” has certainly breathed life into Wizkid’s “Fever” after going ‘dead’ after its release and as well as set it on a pathway to becoming a major hit in 2018.
In addition, if “Fever” eventually becomes a major hit, then it would authenticate my plight that Tiwa Savage made it so and finally truncate my disposition and many others’ that the music industry is a place where the successes of the women lies in the hands of the men, but instead tweak it to a situation where both men and women are needed for each others’ successes within it.

Davido Attacked Again For Claiming To Own A Private Jet
Davido has not seen the last of attacks for claiming ownership to a private jet reportedly owned by his father. The Singer took to his Twitter page to apologize to his fans as he had to cancel his supposed performance at the Kenyan capital of Nairobi due to flight issues that went out of his control. A confused fan needed explanations in order to clear her doubts as she asked why Davido still battled with flight issues as he had earlier claimed to own a private jet. Davido replied by telling her the jet was unavailable as his father had to use the private jet for a trip.
The OBO promised to reschedule his intended performance for the missed show as soon as possible.

DMW Shines With Six Awards At The 2018 City People Music Awards
The Davido Music Worldwide have recorded yet another victorious feat at the just held City People Music Awards 2018 edition, which witnessed an array of the finest talents in music recognized especially for outstanding exploits in the community of entertainment.
DMW turned up the biggest winners of the glamorous night with six-award wins. The President of the music unit alongside members of the #30BG were present at the ceremony as they picked up various awards announced in succession.
Since ascertaining their place as one of Africa’s revered music label, the accolades have been pouring in. Yesterday wasn’t any different as the decorated title of best record label led the strings of win for the night. DJ Neptune, DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Obi Set To Thrill At Heineken Live Your Music Party
The most anticipated afterparty of the year – Heineken Live Your Music is finally here. Scheduled to be headlined by three of Nigeria’s biggest DJs, DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Neptune and DJ Obi, the event holds today, Saturday, October 27th, 2018 to mark the end of the 2018 Lagos Fashion Week.
The DJs will excite the audience with a trio playlist, with each DJs playlist comprised of their own themed genres of songs.
Also set to thrill the audience with a live performance is recording artiste Kizz Daniel and, leading OAP and full-time party starter, Do2dtun of Cool FM.
Heineken launched the Live Your Music platform in Nigeria in October 2016 and it is the official afterparty of Heineken Lagos Fashion Week which takes place on the final night of the 4-Day event. Heineken is giving consumers the opportunity to not just attend a music event but to be a part of the creation of the total experience.
The Live Your Music experience is now in its second year (2016 and 2017) and this edition promise to not only give consumers the chance to experience the premium and aspiration cues of Heineken from the fashion week but also get refreshed and entertained by Heineken at the high energy afterparty. The Live Your Music parties have previously featured special appearances by International acts such as T-Pain in 2016 and Jidenna in 2017.

Starboy Wizkid released the official music video to his first single of the year – ”Fever”, starring his music Bestie, Tiwa Savage which has long been anticipated by music fans. The raunchy music video has caused lots of controversies since its release, Well below are some of our thought about the whole “Fever” video.
@qwin_aisha After watching the visuals for Fever, all i thought to myself was Wizkid is a real business man. Infact i believe he is a better business man than he is a singer. I never really liked the Fever as a song but after watching the video, the song just automatically stuck to my brain. He used the best strategy to revive the Fever song.
Tiwa Savage could be described as a blessing to that song and i must applaud the clear video quality of the video. Although i feel a different direction could have been used for the video as this video has a very striking resemblance to “Assurance” video released earlier in the year. Other than that i feel the video is an awesome video.
@Bridget Both singers displayed serious intimacy in the video which caused a lot of “tongue-wagging” amongst fans and as well trended heavily on Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms. Many have criticized Tiwa Savage for the role she played and even called her very damning names.
Well, my own very opinion about the “Fever” video is that Tiwa Savage doing a video vixen isn’t bad at all, as she already did in the past in a video by Dr. Sid. People are talking about the “myth” that she acted like a slut and did so many ‘wrong’ things in the video. Well to me, I see nothing wrong in the role she played because it was mere acting and the fact that they didn’t even kiss amidst such beautiful romantic scenes should be applauded. The video is some sort of strategy that would promote the video, and so far it’s been working as the video has been breaking Nigerian records for videos watched on YouTube.

50 Cent Trolls “Foolish” Singer, Ashanti As She Blasts Him Back
Curtis Jackson, famously known as 50 Cent has done again what he knows how to do best which is trolling people either on social media or off it. The legendary troller, rapper and business mogul recently took to Instagram to savagely troll fellow American musician; Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known as Ashanti after she was reported to have been able to only sell “24 tickets” for one of her concerts.
The concert was eventually cancelled due to the ridiculously low ticket sales resulting in the “Power” star, 50 Cent taking to Instagram to mock the “Foolish’ singer, writing “Do basement parties then it can still feel like it’s lit”
He went further to write “Ashanti show cancelled after only 24 ticktes sold. Wait a minute, I thought I told everybody not to f**k with this fool. I want the names and social’s of everybody who bought a ticket now. LOL GET the STRAP,”
In response to 50, Ashanti spoke to TMZ and called called him a “bully.”
“Officer Curtis better cut it out!” she said. Ashanti also shone light on the ticketing situation and made a reference to the school’s statement.
“It was obvious that it was a lack of promotion. The school put out a statement to clarify the lack of promotion,” she said, before she added “Curtis is obviously a bully.”
50 Cent has since deleted the original posts.

She says via her Insta-story that she has not committed any crime by her actions and if people believe she has committed a crime, they should take her to court.
The number 1 African bad girl also promises to serve more hot pepper stew as she does not plan on stopping anytime soon. This is a simple statement that shows that Tiwa does not care about what you call her she is going to keep on living her best life.

38 year old American comedian, actor, director, rapper, screen writer, record producer, film producer, radio & television personality and entrepreneur; Nick cannon made a shocking claim as a guest on Van Lathan’s Red Pill Podcast which has got many people in the US and other parts of the world wonder if he was only trying to be humourous or if in actuality he was serious.
Nick who has grabbed the headlines for controversies already this year with some remarks he made that infuriated Kanye West and as well as got embroiled in some drama with Azealia Banks said on the Podcast with Lathan that he is a better rapper thank Lil Wayne, Drake and Andre 3000. In his words, he started by saying “I am a better rapper than Will Smith”. He also said he will be happy to battle Will Smith on any forum he chooses. He also went on to say “I’m better than 90% of the rappers out there. I freestyle so well that I don’t even do it no more……. I would call Lil Wayne one of the greatest, Drake one of the greatest, Andre 3000, but it’s like, you put those cats in a battle from going back and forth and they not gonna be able to do it.” Lathan then asked if he is confident he is a better rapper than these guys he mentioned, and he gave an affirmation to it.

Starboy Wizkid has done it once again with his new Fever video featuring Mavin’s Diva, Tiwa Savage, as he set another record of 1 Million Youtube views in less than 24 hours.
Wizkid’s Fever video featuring Tiwa Savage as the video vixen was released at the early hours (5am) of October 24, 2018. The presence of Mavin’s Diva as the video vixen broke down the internet as Tiwa Savage was playing Romance with Wizkid in the seductive video. The Fever video which has gotten everyone talking hit 1 Million views on Youtube after 20 hours of its release with made it ties with Wizkid’s first video that made history ”Come Closer”.
Come Closer video by Wizkid featuring Canadian rapper, Drake was the first video that broke the record of 1 Million views in less than 24 hours placing Wizkid as the first Nigerian Artiste to set the record on Youtube. Now Fever video has tied up with Come Closer record.

South African Rapper, Hip Hop Pantsula “HHP” Is Dead
South African pioneering rapper HHP (Hip Hop Pantsula) aka Jabba has been reported dead at the age of 38. Lerato Sengadi, the rapper’s wife and well known publicist confirmed the death to TimesLive.
HHP is one of the pioneering artists of the successful SA hip-hop subgenre motswako (Khuli Chana, Cassper Nyovest, Fifi Cooper etc.). He is also one of the first rappers to successfully mix hip-hop and kwaito, and was one of the first SA rappers to achieve mainstream success.
He has gifted us with hits such as “Tswaka,” “Bosso,” “Music and Lights,” “Lekoko La Lekoko,” and countless others, and released several gold-selling albums.
It was rumoured that the rapper died of Cancer but there no official cause stated yet.
The cause of death hasn’t been confirmed yet. The family has issued the following statement:
“It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that Jabulani Tsambo, known to his fans as Hip Hop Pantsula passed away today, Wednesday, 24 October 2018. At the time of his passing he was 38-year-old. He is survived by his wife, his parents, two sisters, his son and nephew.The Tsambo’s request privacy during this time of mourning. Once all arrangements have been made, the family will make further communication.”

”Nobody Knows How To Make Hit Song” – Timaya Speaks + Working With Runtown & Patoranking
Egberi-papa one of Bayelsa, Timaya who’s enjoying the year with his buzzing songs; To U, Ah Blem Blem and the recent Bam Bam featuring YBNL Boss, Olamide, reveals what he thinks determines a hit song and also his past relationship with Runtown and Patoranking.
This revelation was made known by the “Bam Bam” crooner, during his interview with Beat FM Lagos. He talked about what makes song a hit, having to work with Runtown and Patoranking without officially signing them and also his opinion about marriage.
When he was asked about hit songs, Timaya said it only God that can tell if a song will hit or not. In his word, he stated “Nobody knows how to make hits, i don’t even know. I think it’s just God and secondly, when you work all the time, you have a lot of songs, you need the right people around you to tell you the right songs to put out so I don’t feed myself with bad energy.”
Along the interview Timaya was asked why he didn’t sign Runtown and Patoranking fully to his label when both artistes were working with him, he said; “I did not understand the business then,” Timaya said. He further stated; “I don’t want anybody to be like they are doing it because they are not in a good spot. Whatever I did for them, I did it like okay, let’s go’.”
Timaya clearly stated that there are no regrets about not giving recording contracts to Patoranking and Runtown. He said he can’t bring them back as they’re doing fine on their own “They are bosses already.”
On relationships status, Timaya admitted he is in a committed relationship and it is with his second baby mama ‘Tamar’. “I have a baby mama and a serious relationship with my son’s mom.” But further went to say he is not yet ready for Marriage because official marriage is not important. In his word…“I’m not saying I don’t want to get married. I am not ready. Jesus Christ died at 35. He never got married.”
