KT-ONE Brings New Spice To Afrobeat, Enjoy Ebelebe!

Asoegwu Anthony Chukwunonso, popularly known as KT-ONE is the next big thing in the music industry.
The creative songwriter, Afropop artist and an entertainer, born in Delta state on April 4, but he’s originally from UTUH in NNEWI SOUTH Anambra state .

KT-ONE started his music career quite from an early age but later had a break due to the idea of parents who never believed musicians could earn a living through music. He’s tried all he could to pretend the talent never existed but somehow, he found himself recording songs during the lockdown and friends who never knew he had such talent heard his songs and encouraged him to put them out as no time is late to kick off what u believe in.

KT-ONE mixes the blend of contemporary Afrobeats with the spice of folklore renaissance, which gives his music peculiar sound that stands him out in the Nigerian contemporary music space.

With his debut hit single in the offing, KT-ONE believes that he is the new biggest thing coming on the Nigerian music scene.

According to the raw talent, leading musicians who have willingly offered to feature on his forthcoming body of work gives him the confidence that he’s doing something right.

Davido Informs His Lawyer To Send In Isreal’s Sack Letter For Signing

Afrobeat singer Davido has finally reacted following Isreal’s suspension yesterday.

This evening, Davido revealed that the only document he is eager to read and sign off is Isreal’s sack letter. This information came to light after his lawyer, Prince shared a screenshot of their chat.

Apparently, Prince asked Davido to read a document and give him feedback. Davido replied that he hasn’t eaten since morning and has no strength to go through any document.

Prince hopped on Instagram to ask his followers and Davido’s Manager , Asa Asika how it was his fault Davido hadn’t eaten and refused to attend the document he sent. Davido commented that the only document and letter he wants to read is his Isreal sack letter.

Drake Declares He’s Done With Album, ‘Certified Lover Boy’

A couple of weeks after revealing that the album was being mixed, Drake has confirmed that his forthcoming album, Certified Lover Boy is finished.

As a whole lot of people are awaiting Kanye’s forthcoming album, so are others impatiently waiting for that of Drake, which ought to have dropped last summer, but got pushed forward due to a couple of things. Also, he announces that ‘CLB’ would drop in January but he could not due to his health issues.

Album’s cooked, the Rap god said before a heavy sigh. Looking forward to delivering it to you. I hope everybody in the world is blessed. I hope everybody has their drinks, everyone’s locked in. Good vibes and good energy for this weekend.

And for the rest of you heathens, I wanna tell you, ’cause I know you’re listening, don’t trouble people’s kids, don’t bother people’s soul. Know what I’m sayin’?

Burna Boy’s Protege, Buju Shares Why He Criticized; Wizkid, Davido, Mr Eazi & Yemi Alade

Buju doesn’t like the way he’s feeling now. He has revealed why he criticized his colleagues’ music in 2015 and 2016.

Buju took to Snapchat to state his reasons and based everything on his right to criticize. He wrote that he didn’t know he was going to make music and went about criticizing the work of his colleagues. According to him, there’s nothing wrong with what he did because he felt their music was inferior back then.

He disclosed he had no personal relationship or connection with them in 2016, but he is certain they are cool with him and won’t take the leaked tweets the other way round.

Though he’s yet to tender a proper apology to people he trolled, Buju has warned Netizens to stop dragging him for the tweets from years ago and use that energy to do something useful with their lives.

Buju Under Fire For Stating That; “Wizkid Is Trash” & “Davido Is Childish”

This is 2021 but the internet is yet to forget how Buju dragged his colleagues, the A-List artistes in 2016.

Nigerian singer, Buju came under fire after his old tweets trolling his colleagues surfaced on Twitter.

Buju who rose to limelight with his ‘Lenu‘ anthem found himself on Twitter trends table after his now deleted tweets were dug up. Apparently, Buju had no idea he was going to be a famous artist one day following the heartless comments he made concerning his colleagues’ music.

Buju mercilessly thrashed their music, talents and personalities on Twitter for reasons best known to him. On his troll list, Wizkid, Mr Eazi, Davido, Runtown, Timaya, Olamide, Don Jazzy were identified and others are yet to be known.

Netizens took to Twitter to bash him, reminding of his humble beginning and how his career might be affected if he fails to apologize.

Reacting to this, Buju posted a video of a guy smoking and dancing, obviously unbothered by the drama around him.

Davido Suspends His Loyal Aide & Road Hypeman, Isreal DMW (See Details)

Longtime logistics manager to Davido, Israel Afeare has been suspended following his recent comments on social media.

This evening, news broke that Davido suspended Isreal DMW after he aired his opinion on the Hushpuppi and Abba Kyari gist.

You might recall coming across Israel’s posts on IG where he showed his support for Abba who is undergoing investigation for alleged bribery. Also, how Israel dragged the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), asking them to provide evidence that Abba Kyari accepted bribe like they claimed he did.

According to a source, Davido’s decision to suspend him was taken following his recent posts. This is not the first time Isreal will be airing his view on controversial issues, however his stance on the Hushpuppi and Abba Kyari gist didn’t sit well with Davido.

“He is on suspension because of the things he says on social media which always involves his boss because of the tag ‘Davido’s aide’. He has been asked not to come around or hang out with Davido. However, Isreal has promised to change,” the source said.

Though Davido is yet to address the situation, he is no longer following Israel on Instagram.

Power Couple Fela and Tara Durotoye Unwind with a Game of Charades on TECNO’s Xtraordinaire Show

TECNO’s Xtraordinaire Talk Show went live on the brand’s YouTube page last weekend with Tobi Bakre the spitfire host culling personal and juicy information from Fela and Tara Durotoye. Let me benevolently give you a quick recap.

Fela Durotoye came on episode 2, and as expected, we had lots of wisdom nuggets to jot down. I was particularly kin on how he didn’t grow up with a silver spoon and had a couple of rough patches before he finally pushed through into this space he currently is in. He also talks about the philosophies and values that drive him and why is he so passionate about Nigeria. The show has a segment called Choose your Dare.

On Fela’s episode, he had a bike race with Tobi. Who do you think won that dare? If you haven’t watched that episode, it wouldn’t be fair to give you spoilers. You really have to see that one for yourself. You can watch his episode at the link below;

Tara Durotoye graced the Xtraordinaire stage with genuine and passionate details about her business, her family and her sons. She gave great insights on breaking numerous barriers in an industry that was non-existent hitherto her arrival.

She highlighted the values on which she raises her 2 sons and how she’s been able to successfully give herself on all ends.

Ironically, Tobi dared the makeup mogul to wipe off her makeup on her segment of Choose your Dare, and Tara impressively did. I mean, when you’re beautiful, you’re beautiful, right?

After a week of an exclusive BoomPlay listening, Victor AD finally drops the “Nothing To Prove EP” for all, Today, July 30, 2021.

Following the release of the lead single “Olofofo,” which dropped a few weeks ago, Nigerian Afropop artist, Victor AD has released his second extended playlist titled “Nothing To Prove” The EP. His aptly named extended playlist has been highly anticipated and houses 6-tracks which features the likes of Phyno, Mr Eazi and Tanzania superstar act Lava Lava.

Victor AD who is known for his powerful vocals, his attention to music details and intentional lyrics says the extended playlist is a way to pass a message across to his fans and the world in general as the playlist talks about Love, Light, Joy and Life.

Victor Adere aka Victor AD is a fast rising Afropop sensation. Born Victor Eugenie Adere in Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos State, Hails from Delta state Nigeria but had his early life in Lagos. He attended Heritage International School in Lagos and Ekpan Secondary School in Warri. The rising act first showed interest in music at a very tender age of six, influenced by the likes of Bob Marley, Sunny Ade, Michael Jackson and Lucky Dube, then he began composing his songs.

Nothing To Prove is a REDEYE X BOOMPLAY project with production from the fast-rising producers the likes of Kulboy, Vybo, and sound engineering from Swaps, Millamix & Extraordinaire.

Madonna Slams DaBaby Over Homophobic Comment

Over the weekend, DaBaby set off his latest controversy by throwing homophobic hate at the Rolling Loud festival, shaming his gay fans, and spreading harmful misinformation about AIDS and HIV.

His homophobic comments have sprung reactions from some celebrities and Madonna has joined the list. Takin to her social media page, she said:

A message to DaBaby – if you’re going to make hateful remarks to the LGBTQ+ community about HIV/AIDS then know your facts:
After decades of hard won scientific research— there are now life saving medicines available to children born with HIV, to people who contract HIV through blood transfusions, dirty needles or exchange of bodily fluids. These new ARV’s can keep a person with AIDS alive for the rest of their lives!!! AID’s is not transmitted by standing next to someone in a crowd.

I want to put my cellphone lighter up and pray for your ignorance, No one dies of AIDS in 2 or 3 weeks anymore. Thank God ?.
And your sexist remarks about Ladies who’s pussies need to smell like water only encourage more discrimination against women who fight daily against the oppression of living under the constraints of the Male Gaze.
People like you are the reason we are still living in a world divided by fear. All Human beings should be treated with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, sexual preference or religious beliefs. AMEN. @dababy.

DaBaby Fires Response At Questlove, Says He Was His Dream Performer

DaBaby has fired a response at American rapper and Disc Jockey, Ahmir Khalib Thompson, better known as Questlove for comment about his homophobic remark.
