The African Princess Nandy meets Nigerian superstar Joeboy to bring you the international banger “Number One“. This record is an African tune produced by Kimambo Beats.
Nandy (Born Nandera) is a Tanzanian singer and songwriter. She won the All Africa Music Awards twice in the best female artist in East Africa category in 2017 and 2020. Before getting this fame, Her career in music kicked off when a common friend introduced her to Ruge Mutahaba, CEO of Tanzania House of Talent (THT). This is where she met Emma the Boy, who produced her first mainstream single, Nagusagusa, The song became a huge hit within a week of its release.
2017 brought all the fame she enjoying now, That year she released her hit single One Day which spearheaded her career and gave her a couple of opportunities as she was one of the few artists who participated in Coke Studio Africa in 2017 and later same year she got nominated in the All Africa Music Awards as best female Eastern Africa and won.

Rapper, Skepta and Multi-talented artiste, Rema joins music producer, JAE5 for the new song “Dimension”.
“Dimension” is the debut single for East London producer JAE5, featuring legendary Tottenham MC Skepta and prolific Nigerian artists, Young King Rema.
JAE5 is an East London producer who recently got a Grammy Recognition and enjoyed win with his effort on the Burna Boy’s Grammy Award Winning Album – ‘Twice As Tall’. He produced the track ‘Bank On It‘.
Jae originally teased the single on the 4th of March with a snippet of the production, which gained the attention of social media. Wanting to make it an international collaboration, he asked the fans to recommend him “one UK artist and one African artist” to get onto the song together. Skepta was announced as the UK Artist on the 11th of March, with Rema being announced as the African artist on the 12th of March. The long wait is over as Nigeria’s famous Songstress, Simi releases her 2020 debut titled “Duduke“. The talented vocalist linked up with favorite producer, Oscar, and they both created magic once again.
“Duduke” is a mid-tempo pop record blend with the Afro-life vibe. Simi uses to describe the way her heart beats for the love of her life. The Guardian Angel she prays for daily and love whole heartily. “Duduke” is the Yoruba word for heartbeat, and within the context of this song, “Duduke” is used to describe the sounds produced from her heartbeats while she longs for her lover. At the time of its release, It truly felt like a love song but little did we know that Simi’s intentions were way deeper than a regular love song.
Its beautiful visuals made us understand the singer wasn’t referring to her husband, Adekunle Gold but her unborn child. She wrote this as an expectant mother waiting for the birth of her child which is a wonderful one in a lifetime experience so every beat, lyric, and note was perfect. Simi makes those who are yet to understand a mother’s love get a grasp of what it means to love someone you haven’t even seen yet.
Lyrics like “I can not wait to see you, you are the treasure I’ve been waiting for ” tells you a mother’s love is the strongest, most unconditional, and purest love of all. Thanks to Oscar who made us realize that the Simi of “Jamb Question” and is still very much alive. She did beautifully with amazing melodies, nice vocal dexterity, and of course withy beautifully composed lyrics. The entire track is top-notch and perfect.
