“We Are In An Abusive Relationship With Nigeria” – Banky W on The Recent Killings

Nigerian singer and politician, Olubankole Wellington took to Twitter to comment on the recent killings in Nigeria.

This is coming hours after the horrendous clash between the motorcycle riders and members of the NURTW at the Iyana-Iba-Ojo axis of Lagos State. Residents reported that lives were lost, and others claim it was an ethnic clash between the Yorubas and Hausas.

In Banky W’s tweet, he complained about the incessant killings and how Nigerians are getting numb to bad news. Still ranting about Nigerians’ special adaptational skills, he identified some of the vices hindering the country from moving forward.

“So much bad news in Nigeria every day… we’ve become numb to it. If it’s not murder and kidnapping, it’s unrest and people unfit for office calling the shots. It’s like we are in an abusive relationship with the country we love. It’s exhausting. It’s draining. It’s depressing”.
