Tajudeen Olasunkanmi Adunfe, popularly known as Boy Sunkan is a Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter. Boy Sunkan came into the music scene professionally in 2022 but got the attention of music lovers after the release of his record hit “Pray For Me” in 2023.

Boy Sunkan is a performing artist who in the shortest period has publicly gained recognition. His follow-up single “No Go End” has won the hearts of fans in the urban city of Port Harcourt, Abuja & Lagos as he keeps showing great innovation and undisturbed prowess in his creative delivery since his entrance into the music scene.

He started his musical career in 2014 while he was in SS3 in Iwo Grammar School of Science and Technology.
It will be a struggle for any rising artiste to outshine the impact of the multi-talented music maestro Boy Sunkan. Boy Sunkan has studied the music craft to the point where he writes and sings indigenous and non-indigenous music. He is blessed with several siblings of which he is the last born.

Boy Sunkan comes from the Tajudeen Oluwatoyin family who hails from the Iwo local government area and was born on the 5th of April,1996.

In a press interview with the CEO of Usa4records Media “Ugochukwu Stanley Akunne” popularly known as USA”, Boy Sunkan narrated how he wrote his debut single and follow-up single titled ‘Pray For Me & No Go End’ respectively. According to the singer, the title of his debut track was inspired by his life experiences. With clear words, he said, “My life experiences inspired my single ‘Pray For Me’. Everything that has happened in my life was orchestrated by God so I know I’m a son of victory. I want to especially recognize the efforts of my dear mother, God bless her for me for always being my motivation”

Boy Sunkan, who described his genre of music as Afrobeat, started music at an early age by miming & playing musical instruments. As the genre becomes a fuller and richer type of sound with better lyrics, better production, and varying delivery styles, Boy Sunkan is set on establishing himself as a musical giant from Osun state to the world.

Speaking on what music means to him, Boy Sunkan said: “Music is the bedrock of my existence, if I’m not doing music then I have no need to co-exist in this creative ecosystem.”

Boy Sunkan plans to drop an Extended Play (EP) soon for his fans and promised to feature a few A-list artists on the project.
